All aprons and equipment will be supplied and so all you will need to bring is your enthusiasm!

The Parsnipship offers a different kind of learning experience: we aim to use only seasonal vegetables, available to us from our local organic Welsh suppliers. With a store of pulses, beans, cheeses, flours, herbs & spices from around the world we'll teach organically and 'of the moment' recipes.

Ben has over 20 years experience and has cooked in some of the finest & most imaginative restaurants: and together you'll prepare truly inspirational food. This is a hands on cookery school and you will be doing all the cooking and preparation, but don't worry, someone will be on hand to do the dishes!

A typical day might start with Heather Flower, Garlic & Honey Bread with Chard, Chickpea & Tamarind Soup for lunch - followed by an afternoon working with Polenta, Puy Lentils and Wild Mushrooms and of course there's always the Beetroot dust, Sumac and the Smoke Gun to explore.

The day begins at 10, and over a coffee, we'll decide what to cook and then begin cooking for lunch for around 1. The afternoon will be spent exploring as many techniques and cooking skills as we can and around 5, you'll depart with your cooking results and the recipe cards written on the day. Each day will be unique and, as such, however many times you visit you'll always learn new skills.

Location

All courses are held in our Development Kitchen atThe Parsnipship HQ in South Wales, surrounded by the beautiful hills of the Ogmore Valley.
